bird definitives - new prints with inverted watermark

I have recorded inverted watermark for 30s bird with series numbers 2007/4 and 2008/6. Are there any other bird new prints (series numbers) with inverted watermark recorded by other members?

Sharing information will definitely promote the philately. Let's us Malaysians make our Malaysia philately more interesting and colourful.

Actually, all the values except for the RM 5.00 have watermark inverted for the sheets/100. Can't remember the imprint numbers as my stock is not with me but the 20s and 50s at least twice, and the 30s at least two other times other than what you stated.

The watermark is something like what you see when you hold up a Malaysian note against the light and you see some kind of image in the note. The watermarks on stamps - one of the more current ones is the SPM which stands for Security Printers Malaysia - can be seen by slanting the stamp against a light - I find flourescent light seems to work better. On sheets of stamps you can see this clearly on the white margins (the selvedge) around the stamp. Inverted watermark means instead of seeing SPM (if you look on the front of the stamp), the SPM is inverted (i.e. upside down). Hope that helps.

Ronny,

You are most welcome. Your question was a very valid question anyway.
Remember we all have to start somewhere. So enjoy the learning and help others when you have progressed.

Hi, I'm new comer, I'm looking for a set mint stamp for this definitive bird issue, and I couldn't find the complete set in all the post office, only the reprint 20, 30, 50 and rm1, and it is not even sold in any stamp shop in Penang, strange. May I know where can I buy from or anyone is interested to sell?

Please do a search on eBay, unless you don't trust the sellers.

Hi,
I have been following much with the bird definitives. Hope for some enlightenment.
- Are the perfs same for the both sheetlets of 20's compare to the sheets of 100's?
- Were the sheetlets issued watermark upright or inverted?
Thanks!
