Singapore-Brunei Joint Issue

Singapore and Brunei are having a joint issue tomorrow. However, I find the common topic chosen ie "45 years of currency interchangeability" as well as the designs chosen unexciting. In fact to me, I find it extremely unappealing, with the currency notes motifs not well represented at all.

Ahh...you need to be familiar with the design of both currencies to make sense of the stamp designs.

What I find strange though is that this set contains two stamps. However, the accompanying m/s contains 3 stamps - which means one of the design is only available as part of the ms! We are unlikely to find many used examples of the later $1 stamp since the MS costs more than the FV of the stamps. In any case, we no longer have a $1 postage rate so I guess it doesn't matter one way or the other.
